Learn About Phoenix
Located in the central part of Arizona, Phoenix is the state's capital and largest metropolitan area. It's no surprise that the city has managed to increase its population at a healthy clip for the past few decades. Phoenix is also one of the southern United States best places to live, and it's easy to see why. In addition to its cosmopolitan vibe, Phoenix boasts numerous cultural institutions, parks, and outdoor adventures.
For starters, the city's tepid winters are a welcome respite from the icy grip of the east. In the summertime, the sun's rays are tempered by a healthy dose of Arizona's famed Sonoran desert, ensuring that the temperature is not too hot for the human body.

Phoenix is also a hub of commerce in the southwest United States, and you can easily get from one side of the state to the other without breaking a sweat. This is evident in the city's many parks, which boast interesting flora and fauna. This is also true of the many hiking trails, most of which are free of charge. In fact, the city has one of the most extensive network of hiking trails in the country.
While you're at it, check out the Desert Botanical Garden, which is an excellent display of native plants and cacti. The Phoenix Zoo is also an excellent destination, especially if you're in the mood for a dose of animal interaction.
The city is also home to one of the country's largest municipal parks, South Mountain Park and Preserve. This is a good place to catch the sun while also taking in the views of the city's teeming skyline.
